Kenny Ramirez Mr. Casey Persuasive Essay There are so many films that I've came across in my lifetime . There is a very big variety comedy, romance, terror, and many more. Big budget films don't always do well, just like small budget films aren't always bad. Some films are influential and push out a certain agenda for certain people that are holding the strings. My favorite movies have to be the godfather series. My favorite out of all 3 is part 3 . Godfather 1 goes on about the old school Mafioso lifestyle, going over the lives of 4 sons of Don Vito Corleone "The Godfather" , So nny is the eldest out of the 4, and he has a very bad impulsive temper, but is very good with the ladies. Fredo is younger than Sonny, but he is also the older brother of Michael, he is the weakest and not as intelligent as his brothers or even Tom Hagen. Tom Hagen is the unofficial son of Vito Corleone; Sonny became friends with 11 year old Tom after Tom ran away from an orphanage, Tom is a qualified lawyer and holds a position as consigliere in the Corleone crime family. Michael Corleone is the youngest of the brothers and is the smartest out of the 4. Sonny dies in part 1 so does Vito, but before Vito passes away he gives the control of his crime family to Michael. Fredo is in Las Vegas handling the gambling business o ver there. When Michael wants to buy the rest of the casino from Moe Greene he rejects the offer. Michael going thru conflicts in New York plans to legitimize his family in Nevada but before he unfolds this plan he decides to take out the heads of the five families of New York, and also take out Moe Greene. After having his business established in Nevada he travels to Cuba to fix business ties with Roth and Fredo . After finding out that Fredo and Roth are traitors Michael orders Al to assassinate Fredo , but not while their mom is alive. He also has a hit put on Roth the 1 st assassination attempt failed in a hospital in Cuba then Roth lea ving to Florida walking heavily guarded by FBI was assassinated by Rocco Lampone . The Godfather 3 has to be the best one out of all 3 in every way it's just that most people don't understand the movie so that's why it has the lowest score of all 3. Its 1979 and as Michael is getting older , he starts to regret his rise to power and how he killed his own brother Fredo . Michael is semi-retired from the mafia and left all the gambling and mafia related business to Joey Zasa . Kay and Michael are no longer married; their two kids are all grown up and live with Kay. Michael is named Commander of the Order of Saint Sebastian by the Cathedral. In the after party Michael and Anthony have a disagreement on Anthony finishing law school, Anthony saying he wants to leave law school and become a singer and that he wants no part of his criminal empire. Kay also tells Michael that Anthony and she know about Fredo's murder that he had done. Sonny's illegitimate son Vincent Mancini arrives at the party . Vincent havin g a problem with Zasa says that Zasa has involved the Corleone name in drug trafficking and that he turned Little Italy into a slum . Zasa calls Vincent a bastard and Vincent bites his ear, later on Vincent is at home and has two hitmen surprise him in his home he kills both but before asks them who sent them and the hitman said it was Zasa . Archbishop Gilday has accumulated a very big debt; Michael offers Gilday 600 million dollars for the 25% of in Internazionale Immobiliare which would make Michael the largest holder with 6 seats out of 13. The board quickly agrees and waits for the pope to give it the final okay. This movie is so interesting in the fact that it talks about power, when Michael reaches this level I feel like
